New Additions
In 2006, Team South, Inc. purchased many of the assets of Turnbull Metal Products of Gulfport, MS., which doubled our capacity by adding an Amada Laser, two 10'Amada shears, an Amada turret punch, An Amada 8' press brake and many other pieces of equipment. In addition, we have added medium and miscellaneous metals fabrication to our services. Our medium fabrication capabilities include structural steel, piping, and small non-pressure storage tanks. Our Miscellaneous metals fabrication includes duct, concrete embeds, guard rails, ladders and platforms.
New Inovations
In 2004, we launched three programs. First, our internet presence and marketing campaign was launched on time and under budget back in March. The scope of this project is still growing. We now have online RFQ submission, shop drawing development and approval through SolidWorks™ E-Drawings™. eDrawings™ is the first publishing and viewing software that makes sharing product design data dramatically easier across multiple CAD environments. And it's available from SolidWorks™ at no charge!
Quality Control
In 2005 our Quality Manual was re-written to incorparate the changes in proceedures that we made from using Lean Manufacturing tools and methods. We have started and will continue to optimize and standardize our manufacturing processes through customer and employee contributed continous improvement efforts. Our new quality system more closely alligns with ISO 9000. The Pre-Engineering phase has been enhanced using SolidWorks™ 3D Design Software to communicate more details more effectively to the customer and to the shop floor eliminating "on the fly" engineering desicions. We are very excited about the future and how our quality system is helping to get us there.
2003 Growth
Success! We have achieved our goal of 30% increase in sales for 2003. We have added additional powdercoat and CNC press brake capacity. In March 2004, we will launch our internet based marketing campaign. Our capacity has grown so we must fill that excess capacity with new customer orders.
